How customers book a holiday
Customers can book a holiday through their ‘Holiday management’ page when logged in to their account. This can be accessed either from the customer account menu or through the ‘Pause deliveries’ link in their customer basket.

The customer can then book a holiday by clicking on the ‘book holiday’ button. They can then pick a date range to pause and skip deliveries. They are required to select a ‘start week’ which is the first delivery they want to skip and the ‘end week’ which is the last week they want to skip.
When selecting the ‘end week’ it will show the customer how many orders they are skipping on the right. Once the customer has selected both dates they click ‘book’ to confirm the order pauses.

When the holiday is confirmed the holiday date will show as ‘active’ when the customers next order date is in the holiday date range. Any holidays booked further into the future will show as ‘scheduled’ until it becomes active when the next order falls when a holiday is booked.

Editing a holiday
The holidays that have been booked can be edited by click on the ‘edit’ icon. This will bring up the dates for the customer to then change the start and end dates of the holiday.
They can also remove the holiday by clicking the ‘delete’ icon. The customer will be required to confirm the holiday deletion by clicking ‘delete’.

Booking a holiday for a customer in GG Admin
You can book a holiday for a customer or check the history of their holidays in the ‘holidays’ section of their customer profile. Booking a holiday is the same dialogue of what the customer sees on the storefront website. To book a holiday click on the ‘book holiday’ button. This will bring up the holiday booking dialogue. Select a ‘start week’ and ‘end week’ of the customers holiday. If the customer is skipping one delivery the start and end date will be the same. The number of orders that are skipped is shown on the right when choosing the ‘end week’.

If there is a suspension booked for their next order/orders this will show as an ‘active’ holiday booking. This will be any holidays that are yet to be taken. If a customer has chosen a date range for a holiday that is more than one week it will remain active until all of the holiday weeks have been processed.
Holidays booked further into the future will show as ‘Scheduled’ until it falls in the next order cycle. You can also edit and delete any holidays that have been booked by the customer.

History of Customer holidays
Any previously booked holidays are stored in the system as an ‘expired’ holiday. This shows you a record of whether the customer has booked a holiday or not after their order has processed. This means any queries from customers about whether they had booked a holiday or not can be resolved.
