This will then make this product a doorstep item and will apply the various functionality for packing and delivering these products.

Doorstep items and packing screens

There is an additional toggle labelled ‘Hide doorstep items from packing screen’ within the product settings /settings/product.

When enabled this will hide any products that are set as a doorstep items from your packing screens.

The benefits of this is to avoid confusion in the pack shed if items are packed into orders separately on delivery.

Doorstep items and the driver app

When doorstep items are enabled in your system - the way the driver app displays products changes and summarises products into 2 categories: Doorstep items - these are at the top of the customers product list. Any doorstep items will be listed here.

Boxed items - any other items that will already have been packed in the customers order including veg boxes and add ons.

You can expand the ‘boxed items’ list by clicking on that field in the driver app. This will then show the full list of items that are not doorstep items.

💡
If ‘doorstep items’ is not enabled then the driver app will be displayed as the default view which lists every line item individually.
