Tablets
For using our ‘packing screens’ and for use with deliveries we recommend using a tablet/ipad. Screen size is important and we recommend a min of 8.7” screen size.
If you are wanting to use a tablet out in your delivery vehicle you will need a 3g enabled device in which you can enter a SIM card. This will need to be arrange separately but we recommend Giffgaff’s basic Pay as you go plan giffgaff SIM - 75 GB for £10 - 18 Month Contract. The 3g versions are usually a bit more expensive, make sure to purchase the correct version if you are planning on using a tablet for deliveries.

Laptop
For printing additional labels - from what we understand some label printers are not compatible with android devices preventing you from printing additional labels on the pack line. You can have a laptop connected to the label printer at a station in your packshed to print additional labels for a customer where more than one is needed. For this process, we would advise to write on the labels 1/2 2/2 so the delivery driver knows to look out for more than one box.
Most laptops will be compatible with the GG system, but it is good to have the most up to date OS you can.
