A common query is at which points during the week do box contents show to customers? When box contents are visible on the product blocks, depends on when you publish your contents, when your customer is looking at the website and whether they are logged in or not. Below is a short explainer on how this works and how to fix any gaps that exist for potential customers.
When a customer is not logged in
If a customer is not logged in the box contents will only show in the current week they are published for. If the customer visits the site in week 40 and box contents have been published for week 40, then the contents will be visible to them.
Example - you have published your box contents on a Friday in week 39 for the upcoming (week 40). A customer visits the site and is not logged in. No box contents will show at this time.
Example - A customer is not logged in and visits the site on Monday in week 40 - box contents will show to the customer.
When a customer is logged in to their account
When logged in the box contents that shows on the product blocks and baskets is tied to the next order date in the customer basket.
Example - if you have an order process day set as Monday and a customer logs in to the site on a Friday in week 39 and box contents have been published for week 40. Then the box contents will show until the order is processed on Monday.
Example - If a customer logs in on a Tuesday and orders have been processed for that week already and the box contents have not been published for the next week then no box contents will show until they are published again for the upcoming week.
