We are excited to launch a host of new features and updates to our platform this morning! This includes the following:
📦 Updates to the Growing Good box builder
We have made some significant changes to the box builder page products > box-builder within the admin. These include the following:
- Introduction of both ‘Retail and Wholesale pricing’ views in the box builder
- Ability to re run ‘automated preference swaps’ on a box level
- Refactoring of the page to increase speed when using the box builder. This includes the removal of the swaps tab - this can now be easily managed in the new ‘manage inventory’ page and ‘quick editing of products’.
- In baskets number has been replaced with new ‘
gross margin’ and ‘value vs price’ information linked to which pricing view you have selected
- Retail price is no longer editable in the produce summary table - in retail price view the price set is that of the retail price set on the product itself. The ‘wholesale price’ view allows for cost price editing.
- Layout of data now wrapped in the cell for improved UX

We appreciate this may have some impact on your produce ordering workflow, we are planning on doing a live demo and Q&A of this update. Date to be arranged in the next 7-10 days so do look out for comms on this from us.
✅ Introduction of manual order processing
Instead of orders being created automatically on the set process day of a delivery round, you can choose to ‘manually trigger’ the order generation at a time that suits you.
This includes:
- Automatic basket locking at 11pm of the process day when automatic processing does not take place
- Ability to manually process a delivery round from within
fulfilment > overview

👀 Example box contents option
Our example box contents feature enables you to show box contents on veg box products in your store, in the instances where real box contents are not published. Example box contents can now be added in the ‘vegbox options’ tab within a veg box product. 📖 You can read more about how example box contents works here Example box contents
🎨 Font colour picker in the page builder
This update to the website page builder gives you the ability to set a ‘font colour’ on any content block added to your pages. This gives you more advanced design capabilities and control over the design of your site.
🔢 Updates to manage inventory and quick product edit tables
Based on feedback on our last release we have made some amendments to the new quick edit tables this includes the following:
- Default portion size added to inventory table
- Swap settings now editable in the inventory table
- VAT amount hidden by default in the product quick edit table - this can be added in the column picker
- Product origins added to product quick edit table
- High value swaps option added to product quick edit table
🔁 Admin swap threshold setting
This gives you the ability to set a threshold for how much customers are charged when ‘manually’ making swaps within customer orders. This gives you full control over whether you want there to be no extra charge when manually swapping in a ‘high value swap item’ or only charge over a certain threshold.
You can update this setting in your sales settings settings > sales in the ‘swaps’ tab.
