We are excited to launch a host of new features and updates to our platform this afternoon! This includes the following:
📄 Page Builder Upgrade
We’ve rolled out a major upgrade to the page builder, bringing significantly more flexibility and control when designing your site. Highlights include:
🧩 Updated Page Builder UI
The page builder interface has been refreshed with improved usability and expanded configuration options, including:
- More block configuration options in the right-hand sidebar
- Page-level settings, such as updating URL slugs for content pages
- Clearer action buttons for adding and moving blocks
- Improved column visibility controls for different devices
🧱 Blocks Within Blocks
You can now place blocks inside other blocks, unlocking far more layout possibilities.
Previously, blocks could only be stacked horizontally. With this update, you can now stack blocks vertically, dramatically increasing layout flexibility and the overall quality of your site.
Examples of what’s now possible:
- Adding buttons directly inside banner blocks
- Creating custom card-style layouts
📘 Page builder documentation will be updated to reflect these changes. We’ll share an update once it’s ready.
⚠️ Please check your websites and make sure you’re happy. The migration to the new page builder may have caused minor issues with some of the settings applied to blocks such as background colours. You can then adjust accordingly in your page builder to resolve.
🎨 New Colour Options
Two new colour settings are now available in Theme Settings, giving you greater control over your site’s appearance:
- Shop Banner Colour
Applied to shopping category pages as the background beneath the category banner image. This has been separated from the Secondary Colour for added flexibility.
- Page Colour
Set a default background colour for your site. This automatically applies to content blocks, making it faster and easier to update page styling consistently.
👀 Live Colour Preview
Theme settings now include a live colour preview, allowing you to instantly see how your colour choices appear across your site. This makes it easier to understand where colours are applied and quickly fine-tune your theme.
💻 New HTML Code Block
A new HTML block is now available in the upgraded page builder, allowing you to add custom HTML directly to your pages.
This is ideal for:
- Embedding Google Maps
- Adding Mailchimp sign-up forms directly to a page
For Mailchimp forms, this means customers can subscribe without being redirected to a separate landing page.
⚠️ There are currently some restrictions on permitted source code. If you’d like to request additional sources, let us know and we’ll review them.
⏳ Add to Basket Loading Status
A loading state has been added to the Add to Basket button. Once clicked, the button is temporarily disabled until the item is successfully added—preventing accidental duplicate additions.
📮 Lowercase Postcode Support on Sign-Up
Customers can now enter postcodes in lowercase during sign-up. These will correctly match uppercase postcodes in your distribution settings.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Time-Sensitive Reports: Fixed an issue where valid orders were incorrectly marked as invalid.
- Archived Products in Preference Groups: Removed archived products from appearing as like/dislike options.
- Product Availability Dates: When only a start date is entered, it is now correctly applied as both the start and end date.
- Holiday Donation Orders: Fixed an issue preventing order records from loading correctly.
- Mobile Add to Basket Message: Repositioned the confirmation message so it appears above the basket at the bottom of the screen.
- Delivery Page & Multiple Orders: Fixed an error occurring when customers had more than one order.
- Holiday End Date Changes: End dates can now be moved to already-processed weeks without causing issues.
- Limited Stock Handling: Stock is now correctly deducted after checkout, updating both stock quantity and available stock.
