We are excited to launch a host of new features and updates to our platform this afternoon! This includes the following:
🎄 Christmas related updates
Christmas deferred fulfilment option This additional ‘delivery round’ setting enables you to set ‘deferred fulfilment’ separately in your ‘Activate Christmas Week Adjustments’ delivery settings. Previously it was not possible to set a process day in a week prior to Christmas if you do not normally have ‘deferred fulfilment’ applied without last minute manual updating of the settings. Now you can set this up ahead of time, ensuring that dates the customer is provided with in their basket are accurate. For those of you who were waiting for this option in particular - please proceed with setting up your Christmas delivery round settings. Christmas process day validation
We have added extra validation to prevent any breaking of the order generation when applying Christmas delivery settings. This means where ‘Christmas deferred fulfilment’ is applied the user is prevented from setting the Christmas process day before or on the same day as the normal process day. Week 51 for example must process before week 52 to prevent issues with order generation.
Christmas delivery day in holiday selector
Where Christmas delivery day has been changed from the normal delivery day - the Christmas delivery day is clearly shown in the holiday booking calendar. This is reflected in both the storefront and admin when choosing a holiday period. This will prevent any confusion when customers are booking holidays over the festive period.
🧭 Product navigation improvements
Breadcrumbs added to category pages
We have added an extra layer of navigation to the shop category pages with new ‘breadcrumb links’. These are present in any child product category, making it easy to navigate back up the product category hierarchy. They will appear in the banner image above the category name.
Show sibling product categories consistently
The storefront will now consistently show relevant sibling categories at each level, helping customers move sideways across related product groups.
Child category chips added Further to the above we have added Child category chips to shopping categories - this enables the customer to easily move downwards through the shopping categories to child categories within the current product category you are in.
⏱️ Time sensitive product removal from baskets We have introduced a change where if an order is invalid with a time sensitive product - the product is removed from the customers basket at the point that the time sensitive deadline has passed. This ensures that real demand is reflected and stock is not allocated to products for orders that won’t be fulfilled.
🐛 Bug fixes
Free delivery applied to holiday orders - Applied a fix where if a delivery fee is attached to an order that has ‘holiday donation active. That the delivery fee is not included in the donated order.
Duplicate discount code error - Added validation to prevent duplicate discount codes being added to a customer where multiple tabs are open.
Menu scroll issue on mobile - Fixed an issue that was preventing scrolling to the bottom of the menu on mobile
Swap pricing in admin showing incorrectly - fixed an issue where the swap cost was miscalculated in the customer baskets in the admin. Cost shown on the swaps now mirrors the customer storefront experience.
Password reset expired token - Added validation when a customer users an old password link to reset their password. Now clearly shows the reason for the password reset failing encouraging them to use the most reason password reset link.
Quick edit table fix - Fixed error on quick edit product table preventing changes from being saved.
Archived products remaining as dislikes - Fixed an issue where archived products were remaining as a dislike in the ‘export packing sheet’ data.
Help icon on mobile fix - Fixed an issues where the ‘Help’ icon was blocking certain actions when using the admin on mobile.
Store heading setting error message persisting - Fixed an issue where error message persisted when too many menu links are included in the ‘Standard’ header navigation.
Time sensitive live basket report - fixed ensuring orders are marked correctly as invalid when sales conversion rules are not met
Error when creating product form within box builder - Fixed an issue where it was not possible to create a product from within the box builder.
Fixed page indexing in catalogue sitemap - Fixed an issue where certain shopping category pages were not being indexed in the sitemaps
Emojis and product descriptions - Added validation message when Emojis are entered into the product description field.
