We are excited to launch a host of new features and updates to our platform this afternoon! This includes the following:
Displaying Products When Parent Categories Are Empty
This update introduces automation to prevent empty parent categories from appearing in storefronts. If a parent category doesn’t contain any products directly, it will now automatically display the products from its child categories. This ensures customers always see shoppable products when visiting a category.
If you prefer to manage parent categories manually, you can still do so from the category page as before.
Publish and Unpublish Pages, Recipes, and Posts
You can now publish or unpublish pages, recipes, and posts without removing them from your navigation menus. A new Publish/Unpublish button is available at the top of each page in the page builder, next to the Save button.
Other Updates
- Add-to-Basket Tracking: Added tracking to capture when products are added to baskets from the product page and via search.
- New Product Badge: Added a new Leaf Marque accreditation badge to the list of available product badges.
- New Origins Added: Expanded the list of available country-of-origin options.
Bug Fixes
- Product Search & Special Characters: Resolved an issue where searches failed when certain special characters were used.
- Static Page Generation: Fixed slow initial load times for pages rendered for the first time in storefronts.
- Emoji Validation: Fixed an issue where certain characters prevented products from being saved.
- Phone Number Allocation for Collection Points: Collection point orders now correctly use the customer’s phone number instead of the collection point’s number.
